What a rad knife! Super impressed with its versatility. It’s can trim a brisket and finely dice herbs… with everything in between. It’s made most of my knife collection obsolete!
Got my hands on the Cutter & Co Nakiri and it’s really improved the way I cut. Feels solid in the hand, sharp as a whip and slices through everything like butter. Balance is spot on, and that layered finish is mint. Looks just as good as it performs.
I’ve used plenty of knives over the years, but this one’s staying on the counter within easy reach. If you appreciate a proper bit of craftsmanship, do yourself a favour and grab one.
Well done Cutter & Co; you’ve nailed it.
This Nakiri is my most used knife. I've had it 3 or 4 months now and I really love the lightweight easy handling. Its exceptionally sharp and makes easy work of cutting. I feel like my cooking has improved because it feels easier with this knife.
This Nakiri is my 3rd Cutter & Co knife it arrived this morning. Well packed as always, on unpacking looked beautiful. I washed in warm soapy water and immediately tried it out. Fruit salad, pineapples, mangoes, kiwi, strawberries - all prepped great....and did not stick to blade on cutting. I was so sharp, really sharp. I'll keep it this way with my Cutter & Co Diamond steel.
I then prepped some red pepper, tomatoes and other veg....clean cuts without effort.
Using the knife was really easy, well balanced, easily handed; its reassuring without requiring effort to wield - Really good knife...love it
Sharp, light, beautiful. it's not a cleaver or a chopper but good for veggies, fine dicing, slicing etc. If your looking to dice onions, shred cabbage, cut the perfect julienne, brunoise or baton then this Nakiri is for you.
I was skeptical of what the quality would be but I am pleased to report the quality is way beyond expectations. Seams are so tight together among the parts of the handle there is no gaps or "sloppy" binding.....it is immaculate. The blade is very sharp although I may hone it on a 6000 grit stone for even more sharpness. The cutting edge is also nicely shaped for a chopping and rocking motion as well as slicing. Its like a cross between a cleaver and a chef knife shape. I really like the feel of the handle and the weighting of the blade- balance point is right in front of the handle so it is not blade or handle heavy to use, right in the middle. The materials are top quality. Overall a spectacular knife at an unbelievable price. If I could give it 6 stars I would!!
This is my 4th Cutter & Co knife - it arrived yesterday. Well packed as always, on unpacking looked beautiful. I washed in warm soapy water and immediately tried it out.
Fruits, pineapples, melon, kiwi, strawberries - all prepped great....and did not stick to blade on cutting. I was so sharp, really sharp. I will keep it this way with my Diamond steel.
I then chopped some capsicum, tomatoes and other veg....clean cuts without effort.
Using the knife was really easy, well balanced, and easy to handle. Really good knife...love it
My friend bought the set so I first came across the Nakiri at his place. I ended up getting myself one as I found it a great all rounder. What I like is the wide, stubby blade that makes cutting precise and easy to control.
Never used a Nakiri before but its my new favorite knife. I love how responsive and easy to direct it is and it glides through ingredients with ease. Its got a good width for knuckle space and also for scaping up ingredients. Traditionally it’s a vegetable knife but I use it for everything.
Who'd of thought I would be so impressed with this Nakiri. I like it because its lighter, shorter and easier to move around than a chef knife but it still feels strong and has ample knuckle clearance. Im using it for everything I'd use a chef knife for. I highly recommend this knife.
